Quick Start Guide
Assembly Housing
1. Insert cartridge (part #4) into housing
with gasket facing up.
2. Attach a completed housing assembly to the cart by
screwing it into one of the black caps on the cart.
3. Tighten until snug with housing wrench (part #5).
4. Repeat to assemble the other housing.
3. Operation
1. Attach a hose with standard garden connectors to the on/off valve on the input
side, and waterfed pole to the output side of the DI System.
(NOTE: Unger’s soap dispenser can be used on the output end of the DI System.
We recommend using a soap, such as Unger’s Easy Glide Glass Cleaner, which
when used properly will not cause spotting or leave a residue in waterfed poles.)
2. SLOWLY turn on the water supply (6) until water is flowing through the output
hose (app. 1/4 turn). This allows the cartridges and housings to fill with water and
avoids air gaps which will affect performance. You can also get pressure our of the
cartridge by pressing the red buttons on top. This you should always do before
replacing the cartridge. After that you can fully turn on the water supply.
3. For first time use, the TDS meter should read 000. Stop use whenTDS meter reads
020 ppm and change resin.
(TDS meter will automatically shut off after 7 minutes to extend battery life.
Replacement batteries: LR44 or GP357A)
4. SETTING FLOW RATES: Adjust red inlet valve to limit the flow
DO NOT EXCEED FLOW RATE OF 5 BAR.
TIPS:
• If windows have never been cleaned with pure water, the sills may need cleaning. Always allow window
sills to dry before cleaning the glass.
• Clean highest windows first. Start at the top of each window and clean using vertical strokes with mode-
rate speed.
• DI Systems eliminate spotting so when you are finished cleaning, let the surfaces air dry - no need to
wipe.
(NOTE: First time cleaning with pure water may necessitate washing windows twice for maximum results.
