MAINTENANCE

The SPP charger requires a minimum amount of
maintenance. It is to be kept clean and all
connections tight. All ventilation holes are to be kept
unobstructed at all times. In addition, examine the
AC linecord periodically to ensure it is in good
condition; replace if necessary.

9. TROUBLESHOOTING

NOTE: If the charger does not operate properly,
consult a qualified GNB service representative.

1)

DOES NOT START (AC lamp off)

CAUSE:

(a) AC Supply Voltage Low
Ensure the AC supply from the outlet is
120V ± 5% (60 Hz) or 240V ± 5% (50 Hz).

(b) AC Supply Linecord Unplugged
Ensure linecord is properly connected to the AC
outlet.

(c) AC Supply Linecord Defective
Ensure linecord is in good condition; replace if
necessary.

(d) AC Fuse (F1) Blown
Ensure all fuses are in good condition; replace if
necessary.

(e) Control Card Defective
Replace the card.

(f) Main or auxiliary Transformer(s) Defective
Check and replace transformer(s).

If the charger shows no lamps lit, consult a qualified
GNB service representative.

2)

RED LED IS ON

CAUSE

(a) Output Fuse Blown
Check and replace blown fuse.

(b) Control Card Defective
Replace the card.

(c) Battery error
Timer time out. Check/Replace battery.

(d) SCR Module Defective
Check separately SCR(s) and diode of the module.
Replace defective module.

1)

DOES NOT START (AC lamp on)

Battery voltage lower than 1.5V per cell or higher
than 2.25V per cell. Replace battery.
