PRO CE DURE
0.0 - 5.0 ppm
1.
Rinse the test tube (0898) with the sample to be tested.
2. Pour out all but a sufficient amount of sample water to cover a tablet.
3. Add 5 drops of Gylcine Solution (6811).
4. Add one *DPD #1 Instrument Grade Tablet (6903A).
5. Use the tablet crusher (0175) to crush the tablet into fine particles.
6. Fill the tube to the 10 mL line with the sample water. Solution will
turn pink if chlorine dioxide is present.
7. Cap and mix until the tablet disintegrates.
8. Immediately insert the tube into the Chlorine Dioxide Comparator
(3626) and read within 30 seconds. Record the result as ppm
Chlorine Dioxide.
