PRO CE DURE
1.
Fill one color column (7524) to 50 mL line with sample water.
NOTE:
If sample contains a high level of color, pour off water to
25 mL line. Run test on 25 mL sample.
2.
Fill second color column (7524) to 50 mL line with color-free
water.
NOTE:
If using a 25 mL sample, fill second column to 25 mL line
with color-free water.
3.
Place the two columns side by side. Note the difference in color.
4.
Use the pipet to add 0.5 mL of *Standard Color Reagent (6058) to
the tube containing color-free water. Use the stirring rod (1114) to
mix contents. Looking down through the tube, compare color to
color in sample color column.
5.
Continue adding *Standard Color Reagent in 0.5 mL increments,
mixing after each addition, until color matches color in sample
color column. Count number of increments of *Standard Color
Reagent added.
6.
Use chart below to determine color. Record as color units.
