P.Lock (Parental Lock/V-Chip) Setup
The P.LOCK options control the built-in V-Chip feature of the television. TV broadcasts include a

signal that classifies the contents of the program. When this feature is activated, the TV will detect

this signal and block any programs that are rated higher than what you have set.
There are two different rating systems: MPAA (movies) and TV (television broadcasts).

MPAA Ratings:

X: For adults only
NC17: Not intended for ages under 17
R: Restricted
PG-13: Not intended for ages under 13
PG: Parental Guidance Suggsted
G: General Audience

TV Ratings:

MA: Mature Audiences only
14: Not intended for ages under 14
PG: Parental guidance suggested
G: General audience
Y7: For children age 7 and above.
Y: All children

The TV ratings are further classifed by sub-categories. As the TV Rating increases, so does the

intensity of the sub-category.

TV Subcategories:

D: Suggestive dialogue
L: Indecent language
S: Sexual situations
V: Violence

To change these settings, you must first use the numeric keypad to enter the P.LOCK code.

The default 4-digit code is: 5963.
