Components

The CD-ROM, CD-RW,
and DVD-ROM drives are
often called optical drives
because they use light to
read and write information.

Your CD-ROM drive reads
data from a CD. They are a
popular choice for software
and data distribution due to
the combination of large
storage capacity and high
quality performance.

The CD-RW drive uses
advanced technology to
write and rewrite to
compact disc(s). CD-RW
drives are capable of
writing multiple formats,
such as saving data or video
and audio files.

The DVD-ROM drive
allows you to listen to
music or watch movies.

You do not have to place the
lock in the up position after
replacing the new drive(s).
