Designated Use

Intended Purpose

Minor surgical luminaire (Treatment light) – light for local illumination of the patient’s body during

diagnosis or treatment. It is not intended for use in operating theatres.

Location

Only in dry rooms not subject to the risk of explosion. The minimum distance to inflammable parts

has to be 0.5 m.

Operation Mode

The light is designed for continuous operation.

Safety Instructions

• The light may only be operated in dry rooms,

not subject to the risk of explosion.

• Do not leave the light on without supervision.
• The minimum distance to inflammable parts has to be 0.5 m.
• Keep inflammable substances and objects away from the light and the light cone.
• When using lights of protection class I make sure that the grounding conductor is

connected with the lamp housing.

• Do not touch the luminous medium while the light is switched on and for some

time afterwards –

danger of burns.

• Defective apertures must be replaced –

Risk of injury.

• Apart from changing the lamps, no further modifications or work may be carried

out by the user.

• Defective lamps may only be replaced with lamps with the same power (W, Watt)

and of the same type (specifications see ’Technical Data’ at page 11 ).

• Do not kink the power supply cable to avoid damages.
• Do not touch the protective glass.
• The user has to comply with the requirements of the national institute for hygiene

and disinfection.
