Preventative maintenance
for your computer is easier
than you might think. You
don’t need any special
tools or know-how. A few
basic procedures will help
keep your computer
operating at its best.

hat is Preventative Maintenance?
Basic preventative maintenance procedures include the
following:
➜ Creating backups of your files
➜ Deleting unwanted files
➜ Maximizing your hard disk
➜ Running VirusScan
Perform these preventative maintenance tasks at the intervals
recommended below, or more often if you use your computer a
lot.
Note: For more critical files, you may want to back up more often.
