Close any programs that are running.

Turn the printer on. (

Connect the printer to your computer, using the USB cable.

After a moment, the Found New Hardware Wizard dialog appears.

Place the Canon Digital Camera Solution Disk in the CD-ROM
drive.

Select “Install the software automatically (Recommended)”, and
then click the [Next] button.
Log on to Windows XP with administrator privileges before installing the
software.
