O ENSURE PROPER GAS FLOW

CONTROL VALVES MUST BE “OFF” BEFORE
OPENING THE GAS CYLINDER VALVE .
WARNING: During assembly
of the grill and when attaching or
replacing the L.P. gas cylinder,
insure that the gas supply hose is
free of kinks and/or damage and
is at least 3 inches away from hot
surfaces such as the grill casting.

1. Open the right door and slide out the cylinder support. Set the
LP cylinder in the cylinder support location with the outlet valve
facing toward the right side of the grill (Fig. 11).
Fig. 13 3. Slide the cylinder support back into the grill (Fig. 13).
2. Insert the TYPE 1 Nipple of the regulator into the cylinder’s fuel
valve outlet as shown (Fig. 12). Turn the regulator hand wheel
clockwise to tighten. No tools are needed. The hand wheel will
come to a complete stop when the connection is secure, and the
gas will not flow until a positive seal is achieved.

NOTE: This step applies to you only if you are converting your 8450 Series grill to use LP GAS. If you will
be using your grill with NATURAL GAS, this section does not apply to you. Please skip back to the
section titled “Natural Gas Installation - 8450 Series ”.
The 8450 Series grill is set up from the factory to use NATURAL GAS. If you want to use LP GAS, you
must purchase the LP GAS CONVERSION KIT (sold separately). Follow the installation instructions
provided with the LP GAS CONVERSION KIT.
NOTE: The tank mounting system shown is for
illustration purposes and is not provided with the
8450 Series grill. A suitable system should be
designed by the contractor who is providing a
built-in installation.
