TROUBLE SHOOTING

PROBLEM

Will not start

• Dirty air filter.

• Clean/replace air filter.

• Out of fuel.

• Fill fuel tank.

• Stale fuel.

• Drain tank and refill with fresh

dean fuel.

• Water in fuel.

• Drain fuel tank and carburetor

and refill tank with fresh gaso­
line. -

• Spark plug wire is dis-.

connected

• Connect wire to plug.

• Bad spark plug.

• Replace spark plug.

• Loose blade or broken

blade adapter.

• Tighten blade bolt or replace

blade adapter.

• Control bar in released

position

• Depress control bar to handle.

• Control bar defective

• Replace control bar.

• Weak battery

• Charge battery.

• Disconnected battery

• Connect battery to engine.

Loss of power

• Rear of lawn mower

housing/blade dragging in
