TO REPLACE HEADLIGHT BULB

Raise hood-

Puil bulb bolder out of the hole In the backside of the

grill.

Replace bulb Irt holder and push bulb holder securely

back into the hole In the backside of the grll)

INTERLOCKS AND RELAYS

Loose or darnaged wiring may causa your tractor to run

poorly, stop running, or prevent it from starting,

Check wiring. See electrical wiring diagram In the
Repair Parts section o( this manual-

TO REPLACE FUSE

Replace with 30 amp automotive-type plug-tn fuse. The
fuse holder Is located behind the dash-

TO REMOVE HOOD AND GRJLL ASSEMBLY

(See Fig. 33)

Raise hood

Unsnap headlight wire connector

Stand in front of tractor. Grasphoodatsides,tilttoward
engine and lift off of tractor.

TO ADJUST THROTTLE CONTROL CABLE

(See Figs. 34 & 35)

The throttle control has been preset at the factory and
adjustment should not be necessary Check adjustment as
described below before loosening cable. If adjustment Is
necessary, proceed as follows:

With enpfne not running, move throttle control ieusr to

fast posfllDrt.

Check that speed control lever is against slop screw. If
It is not, loosen casing clamp screw and pull Ihrottle

cable until iever !s against screw, Tighten damp screw

securely

TO ADJUST CARBURETOR (See Fig. 36)

The carburetor has been present at the factory and adjust-
mant should not be necessary However, minor adjostmenl
may be required to compensate for differences In fuel,
temperatura, altitude or load, if the carburetor doss need
adjustment, proceed as follows;

In general, turning the adjusting needles In (clockwise)

decreases Ihs supply of fuel to the engine giving a leaner
fuel/alr mijsture. Turning ¡he adjusfing needles out (coun­
terclockwise) increases the supply of fuel to the engine
giving a richer fuel/alr mixture

liW PORTANT: DAMAGE TO THE NEEDLES AND THE
SEATS IN CARBURETOR MAY RESULT IF SCREW IS

TURNED IN TOO TIGHT­

PRELIMINARY SETTINQ -

Be sure you have a clean air filter, and the Ihroliie

conlrol cable is adjusted properly (see above),

With engine off turn Idle fust adjusting needle In (dock-
wise) dosing It linger tight and then turn out:(coufiler-

dockwise) 1-1/4 turns

Turn main fuel adjusting rreedle in folockwise) closing
finger light and then turn out (counterclockwise) 1 turn
