0QSE) Taking Pictures in Auto Flash Mode

In this mode, the AiAF function (-> 47) ensures that

the subject stays in focus even when it is not exactly in
the center of the viewfinder The flash also fires
automatically in low light or backlit conditions.

Set the focus.

• Position the AF frame over

your subject and press the
shutter button halfway

^ When the subject is in

focus, the green indicator

lights

• When the flash fires

automatically, the orange
indicator lights. (-> 21)

• Keep the shutter button

pressed halfway down

Compose the shot and

take the picture.

• Press the shutter button

down fully.

• Press the shutter button

slowly and gently.

^The photograph is taken.

There is a very short delay between the shutter button

being pressed and the shutter releasing. In general,

you should continue to hold the camera still until you

hear the sound of the film winding on, which indicates

that the shot has been taken.

You can take a picture using the Realtime Release

mode, in which the shutter is released instantly, if you

set the dial to 01 (-> 28).
