S-5500 Curtain Wall Router & Jig Use Instructions
Router & Drill Fixtures (DJ34 & DJ35) for Intermediate Horizontal Cover Weeps
1. Slide intermediate horizontal cover into router fixture (DJ34) and flush cover with the end of
the top plate of the fixture. See Figure 5. Use router bit DJ38.
2. Ensure that the router bit is set to the correct depth so not to damage the face of the cover.
3. Clamp fixture to the cover and begin making the interior weep slot.
1. Place drill fixture (DJ35) onto intermediate horizontal cover with the exterior stamp of the
fixture to the face of the cover as shown in Figures 6 & 7. Use 5/16” drill bit.
2. Flush cover with end of fixture. See Figure 7.
3. Hold fixture to the cover and begin drilling weep hole.
4. Ensure that the drill bit only passes through one wall.
