Many Linux distributions have a problem with the graphic driver. The best choice is the usage of the VESA
framebuffer driver. The most unproblematic distribution is 'Knoppix' (based on 'Debian'). Use Knoppix
with the boot parameter 'fb????x????' (e.g. fb1024x768).
