Cooking

Before switching on, please check that the plate, the splash back and the drip tray are correctly in place
and that the necessary safety precautions have been taken.
Plug the appliance into an earthed socket.
Use the button to adjust the temperature. The appliance will reach the selected temperature within
approximately 10 minutes.
You may notice some smoke when using the plate for the first time. This is normal.
Make sure you do not touch the hot edges when cooking.
The appliance will remain hot for around 30 minutes after use.
The electric plancha can be used with or without the stainless steel splash back. The splash back protects
from fat splashes and is also a windbreak. The stainless steel splash back can be removed when using long
skewers.

Recipes

With time, you will be able to gauge the right cooking temperature according to the thickness and texture of
foods and adapt to your taste.
The temperatures and times given below are intended as an indication only.
This plancha has thermostats on each heating area.

RED AND WHITE MEAT

Rare rib of beef: 250°C thermostat 5 - cook for 5 minutes on each side (according to thickness and
preferences)
Medium rib of beef: 220°C thermostat 4/5 - cook for 15 minutes on each side (according to thickness and
preferences)
Rare steak: 250°C thermostat 5 - cook for 1 minute on each side (according to thickness and preferences)
Medium steak: 220°C thermostat 5 - cook for 3 minutes on each side (according to thickness and
preferences)
Pieces of pork or veal (may be marinated): 220°C thermostat 4/5, 20 minutes
Pieces of rabbit or chicken (may be marinated): 200°C thermostat 4/5, 30 minutes
Strips of duck: 220°C thermostat 5, cook for 1/3 minutes on each side, according to preferences
Duck fillets: 220°C thermostat 5, cook for 5/10 minutes on each side, according to preferences
Beef skewers: 240°C thermostat 5, cook for 5/10 minutes, according to preferences
Lamb chops or skewers: 240°C thermostat 5, cook for 5/10 minutes, according to preferences

FISH AND SEAFOOD

Fish skewers: 160°C thermostat 4, 15 minutes
Gambas: 160°C thermostat 4, 15 minutes

Queen scallops: 160°C thermostat 4, 15 minutes
Salmon: 160°C thermostat 4, 15 minutes
Monkfish or cod: 180°C thermostat 4, 15 minutes
Scallops: 160°C thermostat 4, 15 minutes
Cuttlefish, squid or octopus: 220°C thermostat 4/5, 15 minutes
