4-zone automatic climate control
Windshield fogged on the outside
̈ Switch the windshield wipers on
(
୴ page 58).
If the automatic mode of the climate con-
trol is switched off:
̈ Turn air distribution controls 1 and 7
to a or Y ( ୴ page 222) or
( ୴ page 223).
Maximum cooling MAX COOL
(USA only)
You can use this setting to provide the fast-
est possible cooling of the vehicle interior
(when windows and tilt/sliding sunroof or
tilt/sliding panel* are closed).
Activating
̈ Press button e ( ୴ page 222).
MAX COOL appears in the display 4
( ୴ page 222).
The air conditioning switches
automatically to the following functions:
ț maximum cooling
ț maximum blowing power
ț the air recirculation mode is switched
on
Deactivating
̈ Press button e ( ୴ page 222) again.
MAX COOL disappears in the display 4
( ୴ page 222).
The previous settings are once again in
effect.
i Keep this setting selected only until the
windshield is clear again.
i To switch the maximum cooling function off,
you can also press button ´, U, 0 or
1 ( ୴ page 222).
