Scroll Mouse
Functions The scroll mouse offers standard mouse functions in addition to unique scrolling
functions. Basic mouse techniques that are used with any mouse include the
following:
Key/Button Description
Click Press and release the left mouse button once to select or highlight.
Double-click
Press and release the left mouse button twice, quickly. If you double-click too
slowly, the computer will respond as if you single-clicked.
Drag and drop
For graphics:
1. Position the cursor over the graphic.
2. Press and hold down the left mouse button while dragging the graphic to the
new location.
3. Release the button.
For text:
1. Point to the text.
2. Place the cursor inside the selected text.
3. Press and hold down the left mouse button while dragging the text to its new
location.
4. Release the button.
Select
In menus: Point to the menu item and click.
In most programs: Point to the beginning of your selection, hold down the left
mouse button, and move the cursor to the end of your selection. Release the
mouse button.
Right-click Click the right mouse button once to produce a context-specific Shortcut menu.
