Fitting your pet door
Your Staywell pet door is fi tted with the security barrier on the
inside of your house.
If using the optional tunnel, it should be fi tted at this stage - please refer to
the details on the previous page.
From the outside of the house, temporarily place the external frame (with
fl ap) into the hole and mark the screw holes as indicated. (Fig. 4).
Remove the pet door and drill the
holes with a 4.5mm (
3 /
16
”) drill bit
(Fig. 5).
Position the internal and external frames onto the door and use 4 screws
and nuts to screw into place through the holes drilled previously. Be sure
not to over tighten the screws. (Fig. 6).
If the screws are too long they may need to be cut down to match the depth
of your door. Using over long screws may damage the pet door. The screws
should be removed from the pet door before cutting. File down to ensure there
are no sharp edges.
Your Staywell pet door is now ready to use.
