If the chassis uses DC power, it requires a bracket in the end slot at the right side of the chassis.
Install the primary DC supply in the top slot in the bracket and a redundant DC supply in the lower
slot in the bracket. If the chassis includes a redundant AC power supply, install it in the next slot to
the left. See Figure 1; it shows a DC power supply with a secondary AC supply.

If the chassis uses only AC power, install the primary AC supply in the end slot at the right side of the
chassis. If the chassis includes a redundant AC power supply, install it in the next slot to the left...

9. To install a power supply, turn the power switch off and unplug any power cords or cables.

10. Slide the power supply firmly into the slot and tighten the captive Philips screws. to secure it.

Caution:

In a redundant DC configuration, both DC sources must have the same ground
potential.

11. Make sure the external power source is off, then connect the power for your power supply.

For an AC supply, plug in the power cord.

For a DC supply, attach the GND and -VDC power cables to the screw terminal and re-install

the protective cover. See Figure 4.

For details about installing the optional CIM and DMM, see the user manuals for the CIM and DMM.

12. Install the optional CIM in the bottom position in slot 0. See Figure 1.

13. Install the optional DMM the top position in slot 0. See Figure 1.

14. If the chassis does not include a CIM or DMM, install cover(s) on the unused slots.

15. Turn on the chassis power supply(s).

Note: The DC power-up delay may be up to eight seconds.

16. Check the LEDs on the power supply(s). Table 3 lists the LEDs and their meanings.
