Erica Synths ACIDBOX brings you emulation of widely recognized classical Russian synthesizer
Polivoks Voltage Controlled Filter (VCF), packed in small desktop unit and enhanced with features for
contemporary electronic music performances. Erica Synths ACIDBOX sound circuit is built around rare
Russian ICs, those, that were used in the original Polivoks synthesizer back in 80-ties, therefore you get
that famous analogue sound, insane resonance sweeps and straight forward hands on control.
Erica Synths ACIDBOX is plug and play, and you must be tempted to turn it on straight away, but before
you do so, we strongly recommend to read Safety Instructions below, as well as turn this page around
and take a look on the User Manual. Made in Latvia.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Please follow the instructions for use of the Erica Synths ACIDBOX below, ‘cause only this will
guarantee proper operation of the module and ensure warranty from Erica Synths.
Water is lethal for most of the electric devices, unless they are made water-
proof. Erica Synths ACIDBOX is NOT intended for use in a humid or wet environ-
ment. No liquids or other conducting substances must get into the module.
Should this happen, the ACIDBOX should be disconnected from mains power
immediately, dried, examined and cleaned by a qualified technician.
Do not expose the ACIDBOX to temperatures
above +50° C or below -20° C.
Although the module has rigid aluminum case, so you technically can
stand on it, it’s not recommended to place objects heavier than 10 kg
on the top of the instrument.
Transport the instrument carefully, never let it drop or fall over.
Warranty does not apply to ACIDBOXES with visual damages.
Due to solid build and mass of 0,7kg, you can use ACIDBOX for self-defense, but
two year warrantee applies only to the instruments that are used for the
purpose described in this User manual.
The ACIDBOX has to be shipped in the original packaging only. Any module
shipped to us for return, exchange and/or warranty repair has to be in its
original packaging. All other deliveries will be rejected and returned to you.
Make sure you keep the original packaging and technical documentation. In case
of a destroyed warranty seal, any warranty claim will be rejected.
Erica Synths ACIDBOX works from the AC power outlet, and with the purchase it is
adjusted to the voltage in your country 220V OR 110V . The relevant voltage is indicated
on the sticker next to the AC in socket. NEVER plug the ACIDBOX in the power outlet
with different voltage – it will damage the electrical circuits of the module.
However, if you buy the Erica Synths ACIDBOX on the secondary
market, not from Erica Synths directly, or if you decide to move from
Europe to US or vice versa, you can easily change the supply voltage.
Just follow simple instructions below.
Use screwdriver to unscrew 4 screws on the front and back surfaces of the ACIDBOX and open
the case. Locate the power selection connector as seen in the picture! Remove the connector
from the current position (for example 220V) and connect two pins corresponding to the
desired power supply voltage (for example 110V). Close the case, fix it with 4 screws. Done!

This device complies to the EU guidelines and is manufactured RoHS conforming without use
of led, mercury, cadmium and chrome. Nevertheless, this device is special waste and disposal
in household waste is not recommended.
