Custom Content Class Support

Content Manager for iSeries allows you to support custom content classes that define different

types of eDocuments to release. To create unique content classes, you must manually edit the DB2

Content Manager for iSeries server.

X To support custom content classes

1

Find your CMRel5_v7.INI file, located in your release script installation directory of the

Content Manager for iSeries folder. Make a copy of the file for backup purposes, and store

the copy in a safe location.

2

Use any text editor (for example, NotePad) to open the CMRel5_v7.INI file.

3

Add a new line for every content class in the following format:

<extension>=<content class number>

For example:

PDF=5010

where PDF is the document extension and 5010 is the content class number as defined in

the DB2 Content Manager for iSeries server.

Note

A carriage return is needed after each new content class.

4

Save the file, and then exit the text editor.

For more information about custom content classes, contact your IBM Content Manager

representative or refer to the documentation that came with your IBM DB2 Content Manager for

iSeries product.
