Before you

start...

Check location where washer

will be installed. Proper
installation is your responsibility.
Make sure you have everything
necessary for correct

installation.

Earthed electrical outlet is

Standpipe drain system: Needs a

two-inch (5.1 centimeters) minimum

diameter stand-pipe with minimum
carry-away
capacity of 17

Floor drain

Untape and open washer lid. Remove
packages, hoses, and literature rack

from washer.

Hot and cold water faucets; Must be

within 4 feet (122 centimeters) of the

back of the washer and provide

water pressure 5-100 PSI (34.5-689.6

KPa).

Laundry tub drain system: Needs a

20-gallon (76 liter) laundry tub. Top of

tub must be at least 34 inches (86

centimeters) high and no higher than

52 inches (132 centimeters) from

bottom of washer.

Level floor: Maximum slope
under entire washer, 1 inch

(2,5 centimeters).

.Support: Floor must be sturdy enough to support

washer weight of 315 pounds (143 kilograms).

Water heater: Set to deliver

140°F (60°C) water to washer.

Electrical Shock Hazard

• Electrical earth is required on this

appliance.

• If cold water pipe is interrupted by

plastic, non-metallic gaskets or other
insulating materials, Do Not use for

earthing.

• Do Not earth to a gas pipe.
• Do Not modify the power supply

cord plug. If it does not fit the outlet,
have a proper outlet installed by a
qualified electrician.

• Do Not have a fuse in the neutral or

earthing circuit. A fuse in the neutral
or earthing circuit could result in an
electrical shock.

• Do Not use an extension cord with

this appliance.

• Check with a qualified electrician if

you are in doubt as to whether the
appliance is properly earthed.

Failure to follow these instructions

could result in serious injury or death.

If codes permit and a separate earthing

wire is used, it is recommended that a
qualified electrician determine that the
earthing path is adequate.

Recommended
earthing method

For your personal safety, this appliance
must be earthed. This appliance is

equipped with a power supply cord
having an earthed plug.
To minimize possible shock hazard, the
cord must be plugged into a mating
earthing-type wall receptacle, earthed in
accordance with local codes and
ordinances. See Figure 1. If a mating wall
receptacle is not available, it is the

personal responsibility and obligation of the
customer to have a properly earthed wall
receptacle installed by a qualified
electrician.
