Configuration Using the Web Interface
SMTP Configuration
The ES8509-XT supports an email alert feature. The ES8509-XT sends the events that have occurred to a
remote email server. The email warning conforms to the SMTP standard.
The E-mail Alert page allows you to assign the SMTP Server IP, Sender E-mail, and Receiver E-mail. If the
SMTP server requests authentication, you can set up the user name and password.
SMTP Configuration Page
SMTP Server IP Address Enter the IP address of the email server.
Mail Account The mail account for the SMTP server.
Authentication Click the check box to enable password.
User Name Enter an email account name (maximum 40 characters).
Password Enter the password of the email account.
Confirm Password Re-type the password of the email account.
You can set up to 4 email addresses to receive email alarm from the ES8509-XT.
Rcpt E-mail Address 1
The first email address to receive an email alert from the
ES8509-XT (maximum 40 characters).
Rcpt E-mail Address 2
The second email address to receive an email alert from
the ES8509-XT (maximum 40 characters).
Rcpt E-mail Address 3
The third email address to receive an email alert from
the ES8509-XT (maximum 40 characters).
Rcpt E-mail Address 4
The fourth email address to receive an email alert from
the ES8509-XT (maximum 40 characters)
Apply
Click Apply to apply the settings.
Note: You must Save the settings ( Page 127 ), if you want
to maintain these settings if the ES8509-XT is
powered off.
