PLAYING A CASSETTE

0 Switch on the TV.
(D On the TV select the preselection number for the video recorder.
0 Load a pre-recorded cassette.

® Press A to eject the cassette.

Note:
When the tape reaches the end (during playback) it
automatically rewinds to the start.
Correcting picture disturbances (Auto-tracking):
• Press ► .
• Press H .
The video recorder will automatically find the best playback
quality within a few seconds.
The sound is muted.
With very poor recordings the video recorder may not automatically
found a optimum.

Press ► .
• Press H.
• Then press ► when you see an acceptable playback quality.
Searching with picture for a tape position:
• Press ^ .
• Press(S or®.
The tape will (re)wind at 7 times the normal speed with picture
but without sound.
Note:
The picture may be affected by interference as it rewinds
quickly.
This does not indicate a malfunction.
• Press ► again when the required tape position is reached.
Searching without picture for a tape position:
•
Press ■ .
• Press ^ or ^ .
The tape will (re)wind at high speed without picture or sound.
• Press ► when the required tape position is reached.
Searching for a tape position (GO-TO):
• Press ( ).
• Press (0-9) to enter the tape position you want to go to.
• Select the function to be started from that point, for example
play ^ , record # (A and # ), stop ■ or standby |(!) .
The tape will (re)wind to the entered tape position and start the
chosen function from that point.
Stiii picture:
• Press ^ .
• Press II .
Each time you press this button, the tape advances several
frames.
Note:
The video recorder will automatically switch to playback
after 8 minutes of still picture to avoid tape wear.
If you notice a vertical vibration in still pictures:
• Press and hold ( ) until the vibration disappears,
if the optimal position has been passed, press ( ^ ) again.
This adjustment for still pictures has only to be done once.
Important!
W ith hired cassettes o f bad q uality th e still picture m ay be
affected by in terference; this is n ot caused by you r vid eo
reco rd er.
