Safety Information

93

Before a phone model is available for sale to the public, it must be tested
and certified to the FCC that it does not exceed the limit established by the
government-adopted requirement for safe exposure. The tests are
performed in positions and locations as required by the FCC for each model.
The highest SAR value for this model phone when used at the ear is 0.020
mW/g and when worn on the body, is 0.564 mW/g at 15 mm separation
distance. (Body-worn measurements differ among phone models, depending
upon available accessories and FCC requirements.) While there may be
differences between the SAR levels of various phones and at various
positions, they all meet the government requirement for safe exposure. The
FCC has granted an Equipment Authorization for this model phone with all
reported SAR levels evaluated as in compliance with the FCC RF emission
guidelines. SAR information on this model phone is on file with the FCC
and can be found under the Display Grant section: fcc.gov/oet/fccid after
searching on FCC ID J9CGSK2UT. More information on SAR can be found
on the Cellular Telecommunications and Internet Association (CTIA) web
site, wow-com.com.

Tests were also performed as required by the EU for each model. The
highest SAR value for this model phone when used at the ear is 0.013
mW/g and when worn on the body, is 0.345 mW/g at 15 mm separation
distance. The SAR limit for the EU is set at 2.0 mW/g, averaged over ten
gram volume limit.

Body-worn operation

Your telephone was tested for typical body-worn operations, with the back
of the phone being kept 15 mm from the body. To comply with FCC RF
exposure requirements, a minimum separation of 15 mm must be
maintained between your body and the back of the phone, including the
antenna.

Third-party belt clips and similar accessories containing metallic
components should not be used with your phone. Body-worn accessories
that cannot maintain a 15 mm separation distance between your body and
the back of the phone, and that have not been tested for typical body-worn
operations may not comply with FCC RF exposure limits, and should be
avoided.
