AUTO IDLE STOP
Shuts the engine off at a stop in order to maximize fuel efficiency. Auto idle stop
duration varies depending on certain conditions, such as climate control operation,
IMA battery level, and outside temperature.
How It Works
INTEGRATED MOTOR ASSIST (IMA)
Shows the status of the Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) system.
How It Works
While driving, the
engine is on.
While at a stop,
with the brake
pedal pressed, the
engine turns off.
When you take your
foot off the brake
pedal, the engine
turns back on.
DECELERATE STOP RESTART
Note: Auto Idle Stop only functions if you come to a stop with the transmission in D or N
position.
Charge/Assist Gauge
The gauge shows you
when the IMA system is
assisting or charging the
battery.
Note: IMA Assist operation
varies under certain conditions.
Battery Level
Gauge
This gauge shows
you the state of
charge of the
IMA battery.
