Troubleshooting
Problem Possible Causes Likely Solutions
Tool will not start 1. No power at outlet.
2. Cord not connected.
3. Carbon Brushes are worn. 1. Check power at outlet.
2. Check that cord is plugged in.
3. Replace Carbon Brushes.
Poor sanding
quality
1. Sanding belt worn or clogged.
2. Sanding against wood grain.
3. Sanding belt not held flat
against the wood grain.
1. Replace sanding belt.
2. Sand along the wood grain.
3. Keep surface of sanding belt flat on wood.
Follow all safety precautions whenever diagnosing or servicing the
tool. Disconnect power supply before service.
