Starting Smart Remote

Tap Smart Remote on the All apps screen.

Tap Start, enter your postal code and tap Done.

Select your service provider.

To set up your remote control, tap OK.

Select the TV brand and tap Next.
To connect the device to a projector and use the device as a remote control, tap I have a
projector.

Ensure that the device’s infrared port is facing the TV and tap Button 1. Then, tap Yes if
the device turns on the TV.
If the device does not turn on the TV, tap No, Button 2, and then repeat this until the TV
recognizes the signal.

If you have a Cable/Satellite box, select the brand and follow the test procedure in
step 6 until the box recognizes the signal.
If you don’t have a Cable/Satellite box, select I don’t have Cable/Satellite box, then tap
Next.
Using the device as a remote control
You can turn the TV on or off, browse channels, or adjust the volume level on the TV using the
device as a remote control.

Select a category at the top of the screen.

Face the device’s infrared port to the TV, select a TV program, and then tap WATCH ON
TV.
The selected program will be shown on the connected TV.
