OPEN: When you open the CD compartment.
rEAd: When the CO player scans the contents of a CD
- Total track number and playing time: in stop mode
no diSc: when no disc inserted, or error in CD operation or with
the CD (see Troubleshooting)
- Current track number and elapsed playing time: during CD
playback. In PAUSE position, the display freezes and the
elapsed playing time flashes.
- SHUFfie/ft£P£AT ( all ) modes: when the respective mode is
activated
- SHUF. appears briefly before playing a random track when you
select SHUFFLE mode / skip to the next or previous track(s) in
SHUFFLE mode
program : flashes when you program tracks
ProG: and the number (1-20) indicating the position of a selected
track within a program
FULL no further tracks can be programmed
CLr when you cancel a CD program
- Playing time and total number of programmed tracks: in stop
position or at the end of a CD program.

1. Press the CD TAPE TUNER button repeatedly until the CD
mode is displayed.
2. Press 0PEN»CL0SE to open the CD player compartment
3. Insert the CO. printed side facing up and press
0P£N*CL0SE to close the CD door.
4. Start playback by pressing PLAY»PAUSE HI.
5. To interrupt playback, press PLAY »PAUSE HI. Press
PLAY»PAUSE HI again to continue playback
6. Press STOP ■ to stop CD playback.
7. To switch off the set press the POWER button.
Woie.'CO playback will also stop when:
- the CD door is opened;
- the CD has reached the end;
- you press the CD TAPE TUNER button to TAPE or
TUNER mode;
- you press the POWER button

Selecting a different track
- On the set, press SEARCH or»w once or repeatedly until
the required track number appears in the display.
Alternatively, on the remote control press w or w once or
more to skip tracks.
- If you have selected a track number shortly after loading a CD or in
the PAUSE position, you will need to press PLAY»PAUSE HI to
start playback.
Searching for a passage within a track
1. With your finger on the control, press SEARCH or

2. When you recognize the passage you want, release the
SEARCH or button.
^ Normal CD playback will resume at this point.
You can select and change the different play modes before or
during playback.
— The play modes can also be combined with PROGRAM
t. Press SHUFFLE/REPEAT until the desired function appears on
the display.
SHUFFLE - Tracks of the entire CO or the program are played
in random order,
SHUFFLE REPEAT ALL - To repeat the entire CD or program
continuously in random order.
REPEAT ALL - Repeats the entire CD.
REPEAT {SHUFFLE REPEAT) - Plays the current (random)
track continuously.
Except for REPEAT, it is also possible to skip tracks by
holding down the SEARCH or control continuously
until you reach your desired track.
2. To leave the REPEAT/SHUFFLE mode, press the respective
SHUFFLE or REPEAT button repeatedly until the various
REPEAT/SHUFFLE modes are no longer shown on the display.
You can also press STOP ■ to quit playback.
