Setting Up
When you first switch on navigation, you have to answer
a few set-up questions. Answer the questions by pressing
the touchscreen.
GPS Reception
When you first start TomTom navigation, the system may
need a few minutes to determine your GPS position and
show your current position on the map. In future, your
position will be found much faster, usually within a few
seconds.
Large objects such as tall buildings can sometimes inter-
fere with GPS reception.
The Update Portal
The Update Portal will be used for updating the content
of your navigation system, such as the map.
Please refer to your dealer for more information on the
content update procedure.
Safety Settings
We recommend using the safety settings to make your
driving as safe as possible.
These are some of the options included in the safety
settings:
• Show safety reminders.
• Warn when driving faster than allowed.
You can also drive more safely by using voice commands
to control navigation.
