interlock system for your protection. The purpose of

the safety interlock system is to prevent the engine
from cranking or starting unless the clutch-brat e pedal

is depressed and the PTO lever is in the dise ngaged
position. In addition, the PTO lever must be in the dis
engaged position when the unit is put into re' erse or
the engine will shut off. If the operator leaves he seat
with the PTO lever engaged and/or without se ting the
parking brake, the engine will shut off.

SETTING THE CUTTING HEIGHT

Select the position for the tractor lift lever which gives

the desired cutting height. Then move the wheels on
the deck so that the wheels are 1/4 to 1/2 inch above
the ground.

NOTE: To obtain the best, uniform cut, the deck is
designed to be suspended from the tractor at the
desired cutting height. The deck wheels or deck roller
should be just off the ground, to smooth out the cut
and guard against gouging.

A

WARNING: Keep hands and feet away
from the chute area on cutting deck.
