9 New Message Alert

The phone will alert you to new messages in four w'ays;

• Displaying a message on the screen

• Five short beeps(if enabled)

• Flashing the red light on the earpiece

• Displaying the on the LCD screen. If the message

is marked urgent, the icon will flash and there will be

asterisks on either side of the message.

^Acknowledging Messages

1. Press any key.

* The phone will return to its normal display. The red

light will continue to flash and a beep will occur

periodically until the new message is retrieved.

9 Viewing Pages and Messages

Reading Text Messages

1. Press .

to view TEXT

messages to view the messages in

the order they were received

unless they were marked urgent.

Urgent messages are displayed

first. Messages will automatically

scroll page by page. To manually

scroll through the message line

by line, press

When there are no new messages, the phone wall

display a list of previously saved messages.

When viewing a callback number, you can save the

number in your phone book memorv' by pressing ■

However, the number is already saved in your phone

book if there is a name displayed on the line above the

callback number. If you do save the callback number,

then you will be returned to the callback number

screen.

Pressing (or prepending the number with an area

code) will place the call.

Reading Previous Messages

1. Press

previous messages. Each line will show the first 11

characters of the messages.
