ARCHITECT'S AND ENGINEER'S SPECIFICATIONS
The portable column speaker system shall consist of six 8" cone-type radiators, vertically arrayed in
a rigid enclosure of heavily braced V 4" material, lined with acoustical damping material, and having
vinyl covering, heavy vinyl edge bumpers and carrying handle. The system shall meet the following
performance criteria. Power rating, 75 watts of continuous pink noise. Frequency response, uniform
from 70-11,000 Hz. Pressure sensitivity, 96 dB SPL at 4' when measured on axis with 1 watt input of
band-limited pink noise from 500-3000 Hz (Ref.: 0 dB = 0.0002 dyne/cm^). Impedance, 12 ohms.
Distribution pattern; 60° horizontal (120° and more at2000 Hz and lower). 7.5° vertical (30° and more
at 700 Hz and lower). The system shall be 56V4" H x 14"W x 1 2 V4"D and shall weigh 64 pounds.
The portable column speaker system shall be the ALTEC Model 1207C.
