2.7.9 Audio Mic.-In & Line-Out Connector (FPAAUD1)
This connector is for a chassis-mounted front panel audio I/O module that supports either HD
Audio or legacy AC ‘97 (optional) audio standard. Connect one end of the front panel audio
I/O module cable to this connector.

For motherboards with the optional HD Audio feature, we recommend
that you connect a high-definition front panel audio module to this
connector to avail of the motherboard’s high‑definition audio capability.
2.7.10 Digital Audio connector (SPDIF_OUT)
This connector is for the S/PDIF audio module to allow digital sound output. Connect one end
of the S/PDIF audio cable to this connector and the other end to the S/PDIF module.
