8. Depending on your access to the work space, either wrap the snorkel in
Protecto Wrap in place, or loosen one of the band clamps and wrap it
in a more convenient position, being careful not to change the length of
the snorkel in the process.
This is a critical step, as it locks the duct into its final position, greatly
stiffening the assembly and ensuring that the bass energy is vented into
the room rather than leaked into adjacent attic space. Once the snorkel is
wrapped, it is no longer capable to being adjusted for length.
