Bytom is a simple yet ex-
tremely useful utility module
that helps you to work with
control voltages in your
system, combining various
trigger/gate signal sources
in order to obtain interest-
ing rhythmic events useful
for sequencing, modulation
and patch “automation”
purposes.
inSTaLLaTiOn
Unplug your modular system
from the power source first.
Clear a 6hp space in your
eurorack cabinet, and plug
the power connector into the
bus board so the red band
points right towards the
–12V rail (usually the lower
one). Although the module is
protected against backwards
power connections, it is
always a good habit to pay
attention to this. Tighten the
supplied mounting screws
and you’re ready to go.
COnTrOLS & OPEraTiOn
Bytom is a triple gate and
trigger signal combiner (OR
gate) that consists of three in-
dependent sections. Each one
can process up to four signals
fed to input sockets

The corresponding LED

will light up every time the
status of the gate/trigger on
the output

is high.
All three sections can be
normalized into one 12-signal
combination via the manual
switches

, also the upper or
lower sections can be com-
bined with the middle section
to form an 8-signal combina-
tion. Summed signals of two
or three sections will appear
on the middle section’s output
socket

The individual outs

on upper and lower units
remain active even when
combined with the middle
section.
Last but not least, Bytom can
be also used for summing
positive control voltages.
