Proportional
spaced fonts All characters have different widths and
are difficult to center justify.
ROM Fonts These are stored on a ROM chip which is
installed in your priner. They cannot be
erased.
Scalable (Vector)
fonts These fonts reside in the printer’s RAM or
in a ROM chip. Changing the point size
and magnification prints a smooth font.
There is no jaggedness at any point size,
because the font is created from an
equation every time it is used.
