Instructions For the Femme TENS
The Femme TENS is a dual channel
obstetric TENS, supplied with leads (plus
one spare), 4 large self-adhesive
electrodes, battery (plus one spare) and
carrying pouch.
1. Slide front cover down by gently
pressing on the ribbed section with
your thumb and move downwards.
Insert battery, ensuring the positive
(+) and negative (-) terminals are
correctly positioned as marked in the
battery compartment.
2. Insert the leadwire pins into the
electrodes.
3. In order to obtain pain relief each
pair of electrodes must be
connected to a leadwire in order for
you to feel any sensation. If only
one electrode is used, your TENS
unit will not function. It is also
important to note that the electrode
pads must be peeled away from
their backing and affixed directly on
your body for you to feel any
sensation and obtain pain relief.
The electrodes should be peeled off
their backing once you are ready to
position them. Position the
electrodes on the body in accordance
with the guidelines illustrated in the
section “Suggested Electrode
Placement” (page 8), preferably with
the assistance of your medical
adviser. Read instructions for use
on/in the pack of self-adhesive
electrodes provided.
4. Set the Intensity controls on the top
of the unit to the “O” position.
5. Insert the jack plugs into the sockets
at the top of the unit.
