VTC1 User Notes

VTC1 Connector

The VTC1 has a combination male, 9 pin, D-Subminiature plug with 2.1

mm power jack. This plug is designed to plug directly into a standard

9-pin remote connector of most hard disk based recorders and VTRs.
Power

VTC1 is a low power controller that can typically be powered from the RS-

422 port of the device. If an external power supply is needed, we recom-

mend the JLCooper PSDC117 (North America/Japan) or PSDC230 (Europe).

Alternately, you can use a power supply rated for 9-12 Volts DC at 100mA or

greater. The plug is a barrel connector. The center

pin is 2.1mm. The polarity is center positive.
Data

The pinout of the 9 pin, D-Subminiature plug follows the standard pinout

for most hard disk based recorders and VTRs.
