3. Installation

a. As shown in Figure 3, install the AC1030 transmitter unit near the HDMI source device (such as a DVD

player or projector) and install the AC1030 receiver near the receiving device (such as a TV).

b. The DVD player or projector is connected to the AC1030 transmitter

HDMI “IN” port with an HDMI cable

(not included) and the TV is connected to the AC1030 receiver

HDMI “OUT” port with an HDMI cable

(not included).

c. The AC

1030 transmitter and receiver are then connected via a Cat 5e or Cat 6 cable up to 100m (328’)

in length to the port labeled as

“HDBase-T” on each unit.

d.

The two ports labeled “100Base-T” on each unit may then be connected to any devices (such as PCs) or
to an internet connection to extend a local LAN between units.

e. On the opposite side of each unit from the HDMI and Cat 5e/6 connectors are two IR ports labeled

“IR-

RX

” and “IR-TX” and several LEDs to indicate status (see Figure 4).

f.

To utilize

the IR ports, connect the IR “RX” adapter to the “IR-RX” port on the AC1030 Receiver (typically

at the TV location) and the IR “TX” adapter to the “IR-TX” port on the AC1030 Transmitter (typically at
the DVD or projector location). This will allow you to use a remote control at the TV location to control
the DVD player at a remote location (see Figure 5).

g. When all connections have been made, plug the AC1030 Transmitter and Receiver units AC adapters

into an AC source. This completes the installation.
