4 to 20 mA Current Loops
The coprocessor supports 4-20 mA current loop inputs on any channel, however, a 250-ohm
0.01% resistor must be installed as shown in the following diagram. These resistors are available
as an option for the 518: order Sensoray part number 7408R.
Make sure that any current loop sensors are at the grounded end of the loop so that the common-
mode voltage does not exceed 5 volts.
