3.6. SKICHRONO

3.6.1. Main Display
When you select the SkiChrono mode, the main display
opens. The main display has three rows:

Top row

Current altitude: The top row displays the current
altitude in relation with the user-defined (m/ft) refer-
ence altitude.

Middle row

Elapsed time: The middle row displays the time
elapsed since SkiChrono or Chrono was activated.

Bottom row before activating the SkiChrono/
Chrono function

The bottom row contains shortcuts to three functions.
Press

Stop/CL to switch between the functions.

SkiChrono with slope angle measurement
The slope angle is in a continuous measurement
mode. It shows the inclination of your Suunto S6 along
the line of the sighting marks on the bezel. To lock the
slope angle, press

Start. To unlock the slope angle to

measure a new angle, press

Stop/CL.

You need the slope measurement function when you
want to measure your speed on a new slope or to
set a new slope angle value for the current slope.
