Playing out rundowns using Xplay
Playing out a rundown in Xplay
The most common way to control the playout of a rundown in Xplay is to advance through
the items in their listed order. Xplay offers two (2) sequential playout modes:
•
“Automatic playout mode” on page 11-9
• “Manual playout mode” on page 11-10
To verify Xplay’s current playout mode, simply look at the Playlist window portion of the
Xplay interface (figure
11-6 ):
• if the lower portion of the window contains a C UE and T AKE button, then it is
in Manual playout mode.
• if the lower portion of the window contains a clock and P LAY , P AUSE , and S TOP
buttons, then it is in Automatic playout mode.

To change Xplay’s Playout Mode setting:
1.
Select the T OOLS >S ETTINGS command.
The S ETTINGS window appears.
2. Select the X PLAY >P LAYOUT categories from the tree-structure in the S ETTINGS window.
3. In the I NITIAL PLAYOUT MODE setting, choose either M ANUAL or A UTO from the drop-
down list.
4. Click OK.
5. Close and restart Xplay for the changes to take effect.
