Servicing and cleaning

Maintaining and cleaning
the faucet

Please note that sanitary fittings require special care.
Please observe the following instructions:

Do not use any type of lime removal agent, acidic
cleaners or scouring agents. Never use corrosive
or alcohol-based materials for cleaning.

Dry your taps with a cloth after every use in

order to avoid the build-up of any limescale.

Clean your fittings with clean water, mild deter-

gent and a soft cloth or leather only.

Unscrew the mixing nozzle

20

at regular intervals

and remove any limescale deposits or foreign
bodies. If it is very dirty or damaged, replace
the mixing nozzle

20

with a new one, which you

can order through the service centre indicated.
Note:

Use a 23 mm spanner to unscrew the

mixer nozzle

20

then wrap the mixer nozzle

20

in a damp, thin cloth, so that it is not dam-

aged. A pipe wrench with plastic jaws is also
suitable. In any event, make sure that you do
not damage the mixing nozzle

20

.

CAUTION!

When you attach the mixer nozzle

20

, make sure that the sealing ring

20 a

is rein-

serted correctly.

The fastening screw

18

on the swivel arm holds

the swivel arm in its horizontal position. There-
fore the fastening screw

18

is not suitable for

holding the swivel arm in its rotational position.

If the care and maintenance instructions are not fol-
lowed, damage to the surface of the fitting can be
expected. Claims under the warranty are excluded
in this case.

Replacing the cartridge

The cartridge

8

is a wear part and must be

replaced at least every 2 years. If this is not done,
it could result in malfunctions and leaks. A new
cartridge

8

can be obtained from the service

centre indicated below.

Proceed as follows to replace the cartridge

8

:

1. Shut the main water supply off.

Allow the remaining water to run off.

2. Remove the hot/cold plate

4

and unscrew

the locking screw

3

with the Allen key

17

in

an anticlockwise direction.

3. Pull the handle

2

upwards and off.
