Operation

 Check the backpack sprayer for possible damages before each use.
Never leave your backpack sprayer unattended or for long periods when full and pressurised.
 Keep the backpack sprayer out of the reach of children.
You are responsible for the safety of others.
 Keep your backpack sprayer away from heat sources and hot environments.
The tank cap is equipped with a pressure relief valve. This valve draws in air to equalise the
pressure inside the tank and prevents liquid leaking out if the backpack sprayer falls over.

5 ASSEMBLY

 Take the pump lever out of the packaging and insert it through the holes in the base of the

tank.

 Push the locking clip to hold the lever in
 Fix the lever / pump connecting rod onto the top of the pump unit and the base of the

pump lever.

 Use the washer provided and the split pin to connect the lever / pump connecting rod if

supplied in this sprayer or push the lever into the fitting.

 Connect the rubber tube to the top of the tank and to the lance body.
 Connect the lance body to the lance tube and connect the spray nozzle to the end of the

lance tube.

 Unscrew the tank filling cap, leaving the tank filter in place, and fill the tank with the correct

spray volume for your application and then fill with the correct amount of water for your
dilution, then screw the tank cap firmly in place. Shake the tank to ensure that the solution
is well mixed.

onto your back and adjust the straps again until the tank sits as comfortably as possible on
your back.

 Pump the handle of the pump lever approximately 6-8times to pressurize the tank.
 Point the nozzles of the lance at the plant to be sprayed and depress the lance lever and

the spray will flow onto the plant, ensure you wet the plant well.

 When spraying in the wind the spray may be blown onto othe plants not intended to be

sprayed (= spray drift). It is best not to spray in strong windy conditions.

6 MAINTENANCE

 After use empty out all and any spray left over and wash out the entire tank at least 3

times with clean water filling a fourth time and pressurising the tank and pumping the
clean water out through the spray line hose and lance and nozzles. This must be done to
prevent sludge forming in the remaining spray residue and blocking the spray line and so
that the sprayer is clean for its next use.

 Store in a clean dry place out of the direct sunlight.
