Add gasoline (Fig7)

WARNING: never fill fuel tank indoors, with engine running or until the
engine has been allowed to cool for at least 15 minutes after running.

Fill fuel tank to base of tank filler neck. Use fresh, clean, regular unleaded gasoline.

Do not overfill.

Do not mix oil with gasoline.

To assure fuel freshness, only purchase fuel in quantities that can be used within 30 days.

CAUTION: Wipe off any spilled oil or fuel. Do not store, spill or use gasoline
near an open flame

CAUTION: Alcohol blended fuels (called gasohol or using ethanol or
methan can attract moisture which leads to separation and formation of
acids during storage. Acidic gas can damage the fuel system of an engine
while in storage. To avoid engine problems, the fuel system should be
emptied before storage (See chapter Storage, further in this manual)

8.4

To start engine and engage blade

The unit is equipped with a rubber boot over the end of the spark plug, make certain the metal
loop on the end of the spark plug wire (inside the rubber boot) is fastened securely over the
metal tip of the spark plug.

8.4.1 Start (run)

 Before starting, push primer bulb (3),

three times. (Fig. 8)

 Standing behind the unit, grasp the

start/stop handle of the engine and
hold it towards the upper handle, as
shown.

 Grasp the starter handle as shown

and pull up rapidly. Return it slowly to
the rope guide bolt after engine
starts. (Fig. 9)

 To stop engine :
Release the start/stop handle of the
engine to stop engine and blade.

NOTE: Due to protective coatings on the engine, a small amount of smoke may be present
during the initial use of the product and should be considered normal.

8.5

Operation procedures

Ensure your secure grip of the start/stop handle of the engine

– using both hands - during

operation of the device.

Note: If the start/stop handle of the engine is relased during operation, the
engine will stop and the lawn mower will stop mowing.
