8 OPERATION

Warning! Before performing any work on the equipment, always remove the
battery.

8.1

Adjust the cutting length

 Pull the adjust rigger (5)
 Push poles toward each other to shorten the pole or pull away from each to lengthen the

pole.

 When the desired length is achieved, press the adjust trigger back.

8.2

Adjust the cutting angle

 Press the rotating knob (4)
 Adjusting the cutting head to a comfortable position.
 Release the knob.

8.3

Starting and stopping the machine

 To start the tool: press the safety button (11) and then press the trigger (12). Release the

safety button once the motor has started.

 To stop the trimmer: Release the trigger.

8.4

Assemble the shoulder belt

 Wear the shoulder belt so that it lies over the right shoulder or left shoulder.

Do not let the shoulder belt cross tyour body!

 Fasten the snap hook on the shaft bracket on the shaft.

9 CUTTING TIPS

 Assume a secure position, using two hands to hold the trimmer and switch on.
 Trim both sides of the hedge, starting at the bottom. This prevents cuttings falling into the

area yet to be cut.

 Pass the blade lightly through the surface of the hedge. Do not attempt to cut too deep.
 Trim the top of the hedge.
 For older hedges that require cutting back substantially, use pruning shears to cut the

thicker branches and then finish the job with the hedge trimmer.

 Never use the hedge trimmer without check the tightness of the bracket.
