Before you start

Unpack the device. First check whether all the parts are complete and undamaged (see "Package
contents" on page 4). If any items are missing or damaged, please phone our hotline (see "Guarantee
information" on page 13). Keep the packaging material away from children and dispose of

Getting started

You can place the charcoal barbecue directly onto the dining table and prepare food right there.

Risk of fire!

Do not place the charcoal barbecue on textile surfaces such as a tablecloth.

Never place the charcoal barbecue under or directly next to flammable items such as
curtains or drapes.

Maintain a clearance of at least 100 cm around the device to flammable and
combustible materials.

Inserting the batteries

The battery compartment (10) is located on the underside of the housing (8).

1. Turn the charcoal barbecue upside down and carefully place it on a sturdy and even surface.

2. Open the battery compartment cover (10). Using a finger or fingernail, reach from the outer edge

under the latch of the battery compartment and pull it slightly in the direction of the arrow ().

3. Insert four AA batteries into the battery compartment (10). Always pay attention to the polarity.

4. Close the battery compartment cover (10). Make sure that the latch engages again so that the over

cannot open and the batteries fall out accidentally.

5. Place the charcoal barbecue upright again. The charcoal barbecue is operational.

Getting started

1. Clean the stainless steel grate (1) using warm water and detergent. This removes dust and any

packaging residue.

2. Place the device on an even, non-slip and dry surface.

When powering the barbecue on for the first time, have the barbecue glow for 30 minutes,
before using it to prepare food.

Minor smoke development can occur when the device is heated first. For this reason, the
device should be heated for 10 to 15 minutes prior to preparing grilled food for the first time.
