4. Before using for the first time

During manufacture, many parts are given a
thin film of protective oil. Before using the
appliance for the first time, heat it up without
any food so that any residues can
evaporate.

Note:

When heating up for the first few

times a slight smell may be produced. Make
sure the room is adequately ventilated.
1. Take the appliance and all the accessory

parts out of the packaging.

2. Check that the appliance shows no signs

of damage.

3. Remove any labels or stickers (but

not

the type plate on the underside).

4. Clean the appliance before using it for

the first time. Observe the information in
the section entitled „6. Cleaning” on
page 9.

5. Select a location that is firm, level and

not flammable. Maintain a distance of
approx. 50 cm from other objects.

6. Move On/Off switch

7. Plug the mains plug into a suitable mains

socket that corresponds to the technical
data.

12. Clean the appliance again. Observe the

information in the section entitled
„6. Cleaning” on page 9.

5. Operation

5.1 Preparing the appliance,

switching on and off

not flammable. Maintain a distance of
approx. 50 cm from other objects.

3. Lightly grease raclette pans

can repeat this if required.

Warning!

The hooks on grill

are very sharp. Be

careful not to injure yourself on
them and use a pastry brush
slightly moistened with edible oil.

4. Pour a little stock into the edge of grill

cover

(see “5.4 Tips and hints” on

page 8).

5. Insert the mains plug into a suitable wall

socket which complies with the technical
data.
